Michigan Medicine requires that all account users use a two-factor authentication system called Duo. Two-factor authentication provides a second layer of security.
More information about two-factor authentication and installing Duo can be found in the Access and Setup Guide on the CPC+ Support page.
MDC will send you an email containing your University of Michigan username and call you with your Level-1 password. You can then complete the setup steps found in the Access and Setup Guide, including setting up Duo, creating your Level-2 password, and setting up Citrix Workspace/Receiver.
Each time you log in to CPC+ Dashboard (using the Citrix Workspace or Citrix Receiver application), you will enter your username and Level-2 password. You will also receive a Duo two-factor authorization request that you must approve for access.Manage Passwords
Your Level-1 password (or University of Michigan password) is used to access general University resources. You need your Level-1 password to create your Level-2 password.
The University of Michigan recommends you change your passwords at least once a year.
To change, reset, or resolve issues with using a Level-1 password:
Your Level-2 password is used to access the CPC+ Dashboard. You are required to change your Level-2 password on a yearly basis. Because Michigan Medicine's automated messaging system will only send reminder notices to internal (@umich) email addresses, MDC recommends that you set a reminder to proactively update your password each year. If your Level-2 password expires, you will receive an error message when you try to log in.
To change your Level-2 password:
A confirmation screen displays indicating that your password has been changed.
